Guide for Apple users
When you purchase Guarded Key password manager on Apple App Store, it gets downloaded and installed by default into /Applications folder. If you downloaded the app from our web site, it is recommended to install the app into the same location.
Guarded Key stores database, icons and photos in the secure container (folder)
/Users/username/Library/Containers/ com.guardedkey.GuardedKey/ Data/Library/Application Support/GuardedKey.
This is required by Apple product design rules for sandboxed applications. Apple product design rules do not allow to create any data files in /Applications folder.
If you decide to move the application to another location or USB drive, please follow the steps described in the document
Portable password manager.
If you would like to use Guarded Key as a portable application which could be run on other computers,
you need to obtain Registration Code.
It is available FREE of charge, if you have already made a purchase through Apple App Store.
When you have received Registration Code, you need to start Guarded Key and register your database.
Then you can create your Portable password manager on USB flash drive or memory card.
